As a member of the Foodservice Packaging Institute, Sustana Fiber is proud to support the partnership of the City of Madison, Wisconsin and the Foodservice Packaging Institute in their effort to recycle paper cups, containers and cup carriers.

The Foodservice Packaging Institute has been working with the City of Madison over the course of five years to bring this program to fruition. Pellitteri Waste Systems is a Madison-based, family-owned state-of-the-art waste disposal and recycling business partnering with the city to collect the cups.

More than 215,000 households in the city of Madison and Dane County region can now recycle paper cups allowing them to re-emerge as clean safe fiber used to make new cups and other food-grade packaging.

At Sustana Fiber, we believe in being good stewards of valuable resources that benefit people, the environment and business to drive the economy and bring fiber products full circle with sustainable innovation. This effort by the city of Madison and Pellitteri Waste Systems will keep materials out of the landfill and bring them into the circular economy extending their life cycle.
